Stop Slouching and Start Stretching!

'Everybody get onto your hands and knees, and you will need to arch your back like a cat'. - Finding yourself on your hands and knees on the roof terrace of a bar, is likely better associated with too many cocktails on a Saturday than it is with a Chiropractor workshop on a Tuesday evening after work... but hey, if it helps sort your posture out then it's worth it!

The K&C JLD recently held an evening with Donna Campbell, a local Chiropractor and Osteomyologist at Revolution Huddersfield and it was an eye opening evening. We learnt that we should be stretching every day, that our joints hold onto memories and trauma and that five seconds of magic with a Chiropractor really can change your life!

There were definitely laughs as we all got down onto the floor, and wary looks as Donna had us stretching and walked round assessing each of us and telling us how we could improve. Though all bets were off and friendships ended when the buffet opened, as it was each man, woman and child for themselves as everyone clambered over to sample the culinary delights!

Thank you to each of our members who attended, there were some new members in attendance and it was wonderful to meet you, as well as some familiar faces and it was lovely to be able to catch up with you and hear all about what you're getting up to.

It goes without saying that a special thank you must be given to St Johns Buildings Chambers, who kindly sponsored the evening. St Johns Buildings Chambers, are an award winning, tier-1 ranked set with chambers in Chester, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool. They work nationwide providing expert advocacy in matters such as Court of Protection, Inquests and Personal Injury and recently won the coveted Chambers of the Year award at the Manchester Legal Awards 2023.

Thank you as well to Revolution for hosting the JLD once again and for putting on a fantastic spread of food - it was delicious.
